She is the sixth Paralympian to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and is a two-time winner of the ESPY Award for Best Female Athlete with a Disability.
Popovich is a graduate of Colorado State University and a resident of Colorado Springs. She continues to support athletes through her work with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee. She has a unique perspective on the Paralympics, going for the gold and the importance of health and healthcare.
“This Breakfast of Champions comes at a very special time for us,” comments Dr. Lisa Ramey, Interim
President and CEO, Chief Medical and Dental Officer. “We’re celebrating our 50th year and using this
time to reflect on our past and plan for our future. Having Erin, a celebrated athlete that continues to
pave the way for athletes with disabilities, as our keynote speaker is a wonderful opportunity.”
